The Elaine Wallace Alumni Award, named for longtime Buccaneer Softball and Athletics Benefactor, and 2026 MMA Athletics Hall of Fame Inductee Elaine Wallace, is presented annually to a senior student-athlete who exemplifies Elaine's pride and dedication to Buccaneer Athletics. Mrs. Wallace had two daughters who were Student-athletes at the Academy, and her pride and dedication to our athletics programs and the Maritime community are unmatched.

This year, we were proud to present this award to softball's Hannah Burton. Hannah was a steady presence for her team each of her four years in a Buccaneer uniform, driving the program and her teammates forward regardless of the result on the field. Though she may not have received the postseason accolades she deserved for her consistent performance on the field, she was always excelling in every facet of the game for herself and most importantly the team.

Congratulations Hannah on everything you accomplished at Mass. Maritime on and off the field.
