Man that felt good. It’s probably been months I’d say since I’ve been on the vise. I’ve been spending a lot of time with the family, camping, and training for the Maine Marathon and some big hikes before winter. Down 25lbs and still moving. The only thing left to do is catch my first largemouth of the season.. never thought it would take me this long to get out there.. 🤦🏼‍♂️but we are going to change that this week!

No popper head, no problem. A few stacks of foam will make enough noise to let the boys know you mean business. Commercially made heads are great, and make life easy. But here’s an alternative that is dirt cheap and available at any craft store in an endless supply.

Yin & Yang. White & Black. Something about two opposites. They complete each other.. a tried and true largemouth pattern from last year with a twist. The new Brain Dead Popper Head from with that 4 inch micro dragon tail will bring any bass to the surface. Used flex to seal the fake JC eyes on there for something different.

Had a lot of bass key in on the red/white combo last summer. Shouldn’t be a problem this year either.. two hooks, and two points of articulation. Calling this one the double slider. And to answer your question.. yes! There is a rattle. Check out my story for more.
