Friday's track day did not go as planned unfortunately. Got about 2 laps in on the SV before losing power significantly. Wasn't able to remedy in the pits unfortunately, so my day was done. Thankfully some good friends that were there let me ride their bike for a few sessions so all was not lost! Got the bike torn down again and it turns out there was still a TON of gunk and grit left in the tank from the previous owner letting it sit for years with old gas in it. Apparently having fresh gas in it for a couple months (after my first cleaning attempt) dislodged all this old stuff. Good thing is, it's totally sparkling clean on the inside of the tank now and ready to try again at Thunderhill at the end of the month!
