After a lot of thinking… and a lot of real conversations with myself and family and friends… I’ve made one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make.

I’m stepping away from coaching.

For close to a decade, this game has been a huge part of my life. It all started with SGAA… that’s where I fell in love with coaching and being a part of something bigger than myself. The Creedmoor community took me in and gave me that first opportunity, and I’ll never forget where it all began.

From there, being able to grow and coach at South Granville with such a strong group… that’s something I’ll always be thankful for.

The early mornings… the late nights… the grind… the wins… the losses… but most importantly… the relationships.

To every player I’ve had the chance to coach… y’all mean more to me than football ever could. I’ve watched boys grow into young men… and that’s what it’s always been about for me. Not just the game… but life.

Right now, I know these kids deserve more time, energy, and commitment than I’m able to give, and I’ve always believed if you can’t give 100%… then it’s time to step away.

To the coaches who helped shape this journey… Coach Keith Dennison , Coach Bruce Parish… Coach Antwan Doyle… and my brother Coach Derek… thank you. The bond, the lessons, and the memories we built together will stay with me forever.

To Coach Hobgood and the entire South Granville family… thank you for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of something special. That time meant more than I can put into words.

This isn’t goodbye forever… it’s just a step back for now.

And to my boys… you already know what I expect…
The 4D Way…

Man… what a ride this season was. Hands down one of the craziest, toughest, most emotional seasons I’ve ever coached and these boys NEVER stopped fighting.
Through every setback, every challenge, every storm… they showed heart, pride, and straight up grit.

A lot of teams would’ve folded with the stuff we went through… but not this group.
These boys stood together, they battled for each other, and they kept showing up when it mattered the most. That says everything about who they are.

I’m proud of y’all in ways a score or a record could never show.
Proud of the growth.
Proud of the fight.
Proud of the bond this team built through all the chaos.
Y’all earned my respect forever

To my players: I love y’all boys. Y’all gave me everything you had and I’ll ride for each one of you.

And to Viking Nation …
thank y’all for being with us, pushing us, lifting these kids up. The foundation is laid. The standard is rising. And we’re not done building.

This chapter ends tonight, but the story we wrote together will never fade.

SG forever. Let’s keep going.

Win or go home — and we ain’t ready to go home.

Shoutout to this young man Tyrell…been coaching him since Mini Mites and I always knew he was gonna be special. Even back then I gave him the name “Touchdown Tyrell” and he’s been living up to it ever since. Proud of you kid, keep shining and keep putting in that work 💪🏽🏈
