Pride’s All-Encompassing Baseball Camp is your one stop shop to learn all the skills you need for success on the field. During these camps we cover the following curriculum:

Pitching mechanics
Hitting mechanics
Fundamentals of fielding grounders and flies
Cutoffs and relays
Situational baseball
Defensive communication
High level base running
Bunting

Staffed by high school level coaches and former college players.

🦁 PRIDE QUANTIFIED 🦁

After posting about tryouts for my 2027 teams I have held countless conversations with parents inquiring about the general structure of the Pride program. All of those conversations have revolved around answering two centralized questions, being:

What does an entire season look like at Pride?

And

How many practice / training opportunities do we provide to our players to optimize their development?

After innumerable conversations followed this carbon-copy line of questioning it finally dawned on me that I’ve never made the inner workings of our organization public knowledge, and thus, I wanted to make a video to outline what we do, provide some clarity to parents who may be considering our teams from afar, as well as tabulate an estimate of our Total Practice Hours over the course of a season, should you wish to compare the time we invest into developing our players to other programs of interest.

16 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL TRAINING EXPERIENCE:

Since 2010 I have trained hundreds of successful ballplayers ranging from 7 year olds to collegiate athletes in the form, mechanics, and fundamentals of the game.

DIVERSE HEAD COACHING EXPERIENCE:

I have two years of experience coaching at a high school level, in addition to the forming, training, and head coaching of 9 different tournament teams ranging from 10U to 15U.

INDUSTRY LEADING PLAYER DEVELOPMENT:

We’re still THE ONLY organization in the industry who offers one-on-one training in hitting AND pitching or defensive specialty to every player in the program.

Tryouts are open by appointment on select dates in June and July.

Friday concluded the June session of our All Encompassing Baseball Camp, and as always, it didn’t disappoint.

18 ballplayers met coach Hageter and I at the Center Township fields for four straight mornings where we mentored them in the minutiae of hitting mechanics, pitching mechanics, fundamentals of fielding grounders and flies, defensive communication, cutoffs and relays, situational baseball, bunting, and high level base running. As the name suggests, we cover a nearly-complete curriculum of baseball at these camps, and I’m always amazed at the knowledge and understanding players can gain from beginning to end, irrespective of their age or experience at the start.

Those new skills showed up in spades during the camp-ending scrimmage where our two teams engaged in one of the most evenly matched, back-and-forth ballgames I’ve ever seen, ultimately culminating in a Hollywood scripted inside-the-park walk-off home run on the very last swing of the scrimmage.

It was amazing.

It was exciting.

It was baseball at it’s absolute best.

Today I coached my 100th game.

Some may balk at that, pun intended, as it’s arguably a modest amount of games among those who call coaching a career. But for myself and for the brand - It’s a major milestone. And in some ways, it honestly feels surreal.

Over the course of several seasons I’ve stood at the front stoop of a dugout and toed the chalk of a coach’s box to watch players I’ve trained hit home runs, throw no hitters, and hoist championship banners.

We’ve won in walk-off fashion, competed against teams from as far away as Canada, and played prestigious venues across the state of Pennsylvania like the Pony World Series Complex in Washington.

Through my coaching I’ve built teams I now consider family, molded the next generation of young men into competant and confident competitors, both in the game of life and in baseball, and I’ve made more than my fair share of memories that will last me my lifetime.

I say all of this to say one thing:

THANK YOU!

In saying that, it’s because of YOU that I get to chase this crazy coaching dream, and I’m ever grateful to have had the opportunity and privilege to train every player, and coach every team, that I’ve formed through the program thus far.

I owe a big THANK YOU to East Butler Baseball for hosting us, as well as to every parent and player who came out to make our all-encompassing baseball camp possible this week. With players of all ages from Knoch, CT, Butler Township, East Butler, Slippery Rock and Prospect being in attendance, I had the unique opportunity to teach the beloved game of baseball to players from every program in the greater Butler Area all at once, which was a truly special experience. Over the course of the week we worked on hitting mechanics, pitching mechanics, fundamentals of fielding grounders and flies, base running, situational baseball, and finally got to see all their new skills come together in the form of an evenly matched scrimmage, which remained tied, inning after inning, until ultimately ending in walk-off fashion on the very last at bat of the camp.

Pure baseball poetry!

Thanks again to all who came out. I hope you learned something, that you take your new skills with you to an upcoming season, and that we cross paths on a ballfield here again soon!
