"We have received questions about what happens if it rains during the day.
A light drizzle or a quick rain in the afternoon is something we can work through. We have spoken with David, and he has agreed to be on-site for FKS and our racers, doing everything possible to keep the track in its best condition throughout the day.
The series has a standing rule — Rule 8.A.2 — which outlines how we proceed when using our scheduled rain date. This rule was put in place back in 2022 after we experienced repeated rainouts that led to new dates being generated. Those new dates often created undue hardship for racers, frequently conflicting with pre-planned vacations or other commitments that were scheduled long in advance. Rule 8.A.2 was established to prevent that from happening again.
With that said, FKS and Callahan Speedway will make every effort to push through and complete this Saturday's event.
This weekend's forecast is significantly better than what we faced just a few weeks ago. Unless David indicates the track is beyond raceable conditions, we are moving forward with our scheduled Saturday event. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track!"

As we look ahead to this weekend, we can see there is a chance of scattered rain in Saturday's forecast. We will continue to monitor conditions and stay in contact with David at Callahan Speedway.

Since this is our rain date for the final event of the season, FKS will make every effort to race. We do not have another rain date scheduled. Unless David deems the track unraceable, we will move forward and look forward to seeing everyone Saturday as we work through whatever the day brings.

Our goal is to finish this season on the track — not by rainout points. Stay tuned.

🏆Championship Weekend🏆

The 2026 Florida Karting Series wraps up this Saturday, June 13th at Callahan Speedway with The Southern Farms Race No.5 of the 2026 FloridaKartingSeries.com!

It's not just points on the line, Pro Heavy Drivers will have extra 💲💲💲💲 up for grabs! First with the $250 Bonus to the Driver who can win both Pro Yellow Heavy and Pro Blue Heavy. Secondly, The Kimball Bonus!

The Kimball Bonus 💲 will be available at The Southern Farms Race No.5 of the 2026 Florida Karting Series at Callahan Speedway on June 13th.

Pro Heavy Yellow and Pro Heavy Blue racers, you can participate in The Kimball Bonus by paying an additional $50 to your entry in one or both of the classes.

For each entry that pays the $50, 100% of that money will be paid to the winner of that class if they paid in the $50. If the race is not won by a racer who paid the $50. The Kimball Bonus will be paid in $50 increments from 6th on down the finishing order, until all the money is gone. 100% of the $50 for the Kimball Bonus will be paid back to the racers.

Example 1:
5 racers in Pro Heavy Yellow pay the $50. Those 5 racers are not racing for $1,500 to win, they are racing for $1,750 to win. If those 5 racers don't win, that $250 will be paid out in $50 increments starting at 6th place. So, p6, p7, p8, p9, and p10 would each recieve $50.

Example 2:
10 racers in Pro Heavy Blue pay the $50. Those 10 racers are not racing for $1,500 to win, they are racing for $2,000 to win. If those 10 racers don't win, that $500 will be paid out in $50 increments starting at 6th place. So, p6, p7, p8, p9, p10, p11, p12, p13, p14, and p15 would each receive $50.

The more that enter the Kimball Bonus means more money! 100% of what's put in, goes back to the racers!

Hopefully this clarifies how The Kimball Bonus will work for traditional FKS races. The JK79 has a different format set in place for The Kimball Bonus, with still 100% of the money going back to the racers.
