Quick Tip Tuesday

Did you know? Replacing your air filter every 12,000–15,000 miles can improve your gas mileage and help your engine run smoother.

A dirty air filter makes your engine work harder, which means more fuel wasted and less power on the road.

Fresh filter = better performance + savings at the pump!

Stop by TST Mechanic Services in Bushland and we’ll check it for you.

Your brakes are one of the most important safety features on your vehicle. If you notice any of these warning signs, it may be time to have them checked:

1️⃣ Squealing or Grinding Noises – That high-pitched squeak or grinding sound isn’t normal.
2️⃣ Soft or Spongy Pedal – If your brake pedal sinks too easily, it could be a sign of a problem.
3️⃣ Pulling to One Side – When you brake, your vehicle should stay straight, not veer left or right.
4️⃣ Longer Stopping Distance – If it’s taking more road to stop, don’t ignore it.
5️⃣ Brake Warning Light – It’s on for a reason!

If you notice any of these, swing by the shop so we can keep you safe on the road.

Located in Bushland – serving Amarillo and surrounding areas.

Today we celebrate the amazing grandparents who fill our lives with love, wisdom, and plenty of stories we’ll never forget. Whether you’re spoiling them with a visit, a call, or a little gift, take a moment to show them how much they mean to you!

If your truck ticks louder than your watch … it’s time to see us.

If your Dodge or Ram sounds like it’s got a little tap-tap-tap under the hood, it could be more than just “normal noise.” A ticking sound in a HEMI engine often points to lifter or cam issues—something that’s best checked out before it gets worse (and more expensive ).

Don’t ignore it—swing by TST Mechanic Services and let us take a listen. Sometimes it’s a quick fix, sometimes it’s serious, but catching it early saves you money and headaches down the road.

Located right here in Bushland, TX. Come see us or give us a call!

Spark Plug Check!

Did you know your engine’s spark plugs are basically its heartbeat? Worn plugs can cause rough starts, poor fuel economy, and engine misfires.

Tip: Most manufactures recommend changing spark plugs at 30,000–100,000 miles, depending on your car and type. Fresh plugs = smoother rides and happier engines!

Skip the hassle of doing it yourself and bring your car to TST Mechanic Services and we’ll handle it in no time.

A Little History of Mechanics

Did you know the first “mechanics” weren’t fixing cars at all? Before automobiles, mechanics were skilled workers who repaired steam engines, farm equipment, and factory machines in the 1800s.

When Henry Ford introduced the Model T in 1908, the auto mechanic trade really took off. Back then, cars didn’t have computers, sensors, or fancy electronics—mechanics had to rely on tools, hands-on skill, and a lot of problem-solving.

At TST Mechanic Services, we’re proud to carry on that history—combining old-school know-how with modern technology to keep your vehicles and equipment running strong.

Did You Know?
Modern vehicles run on more computer code than the Apollo 11 spacecraft. That’s right—the car in your driveway has more tech than what took astronauts to the moon!

Which basically makes mechanics part grease monkey, part IT support… and part detective. From engine sensors to onboard computers, today’s repairs often mean plugging into a car’s brain before picking up a wrench.

That’s why keeping up with training and technology is just as important as good old-fashioned elbow grease.
