On Charlie’s 11th birthday we bought him a Mod Four racecar with a lot of excitement of being able to race 3 nights a week within an hour of our house (most micro races are 3+ hours away).

After a month of giving it a try, we realized his heart is in Micro Sprints. We spent last night at Lightning Speedway in Fountain City, WI with good friends. It feels good to be back!

Charlie’s feature results from Friday make him look like he was a hard charger, but in reality he was thrown a lot of free positions by other racers who had mechanical errors, spin outs or crashes. 😅

I closed my eyes a few times during last night’s feature thinking Charlie would get collected in some carnage in front of him, but he did a great job avoiding every wreck. We are so proud of how far he’s come this year!
