There used to be a yardball team… Using 2003 technology, we watch as Hatch defeats MLY 6-time beer shotgunning champion, Bud Clark in a head-to-head battle. Hatch was handicapped 1 beer.

The fabled Brown Stadium was at capacity Sunday night in Burton as friends, family and former teammates of Andy Taylor met to honor the late MLY Commissioner in a memorial game filled with laughs and fond memories of a friend gone too soon. The MLY Alumni were no match for Wheeling Wiffs' bottomless depth and the raw power of Todd Ullom. MLY was quietly swept 4-0 and 8-2 in a best-of-three series that marked the first meeting between the two leagues since 2007. Andy Taylor had MLY's lone homerun. Both leagues hope to rekindle the annual tradition going forward. Special thanks to Matthew Conkel and his family for the hospitality.
