Martial Arts America - Burns, Oregon Call for a free introductory lesson!

In case you haven't already heard, change is coming to Martial Arts America. Mr. F and his family are moving to Alaska, but Mr. Ward has agreed to take over MAA here in Burns! He will be officially taking over at the end of August. Mr. F will continue to teach throughout the month of August and will help Mr. Ward as much as he can during September. We are thrilled that Mr. Ward will be continuing and we hope you will all continue to support him and help to grow the membership. He will do an outstanding job! As for the John Day school, we have had to close it since no one has offered to continue the training there. If you are a MAA student in the John Day area, Mr. Ward has said that you would be welcome in Burns. We understand it is a drive, but at least you have some option for training. Thanks to you all for your support over the last six and a half years, and I feel great knowing that the gym will be in excellent hands for the future.

I had some personal business come up last night and I must head out of town first thing in the morning. I apologize for the late notice, but I must cancel classes for Thursday (10 March) and Friday (11 March). Please help spread the word.

Reminder that there is no class this Friday from 10:30 - 12:00. Mr. Burns WILL be here at 1pm for sparring, however, if you would like to get some sparring practice in. Have a great weekend!

Belt Exam this evening at MAA - Burns... 4pm gymnastics, 445 TKD (7-12 yo), 530 BJJ, 615 Belt test. If you are testing, remember your belt exam fee if you have not already paid and remember to wear your entire dobok.

I am back in Burns after taking the long way home (via Vale). Yes, there will be classes tonight. Come take out the crazy energy on a kicking paddle or in a kickboxing class. It'll do your heart, soul and body good!

4:00 - 4:30pm : Little Dragons
4:30 - 5:15pm : 7 - 12 year olds
5:15 - 6:00pm : BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu)/Judo
6:00 - 6:50pm : Family Class (TKD)
7:00 - 7:50pm : Cardio-Kickboxing

Hello MAA Family! The next couple of weeks are a little crazy with the holidays and such, so I wanted to post changes to our schedule:

11/19 (Th): No 4:30 class. Mr. Burns will be teaching the 5:30 class.
11/20 (F): No Friday class (Mr. F training in Boise)
11/23 (M): No Little Dragons or 4:30 class (Mr. F has training at the hospital), but yes to the 5:30 class and cardio kickboxing. Little Dragons will have a make-up class on Friday 11/27 at noon.
11/25 (W): Class as normal
11/26 (Th): No classes due to Thanksgiving. Enjoy your holiday! The belt test that would normally be on this day will be moved to December 3rd.
11/27 (F): Class as normal + the Little Dragons make-up class at noon.

The December belt test will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd during the normal 5:30 class. Please turn your belt request forms in as soon as possible so that I can be ready for the test.

Mr. F will be gone 12/25 - 2 Jan. If you would like to teach or lead classes during that time (rather than closing the gym), please see me personally so that I can create a holiday schedule.
