Burnham Bulldogs Come Back To Defeat Solid State Masonry Minors

Despite trailing by as many as four runs, Burnham Bulldogs rallied to defeat Solid State Masonry Minors 12-7 on Thursday.

Solid State Masonry Minors got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jake F walked, Ben C singled to center field, Kashton C singled down the right field line, and , each scoring one run.

Burnham Bulldogs tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a double by Axtyn W, a fielder's choice by Zach R, a double by Max B, and a single by Myles H.

In the bottom of the second, Burnham Bulldogs broke up the tie when Carter C singled, scoring one run. Then a triple by Chantz W followed to extend the lead to 8-4.

Karsyn S earned the win for Burnham Bulldogs. The pitcher surrendered two hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out five and walking two. Cade C took the loss for Solid State Masonry Minors. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering eight runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking three. Chantz W began the game for Burnham Bulldogs. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and four runs (zero earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking three. Axtyn W threw one inning of scoreless ball for Burnham Bulldogs in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking one.

Burnham Bulldogs tallied 10 hits in the game. Axtyn W and Chantz W were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Burnham Bulldogs while hitting back-to-back. Axtyn W and Chantz W were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Burnham Bulldogs.

Layton Y went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Solid State Masonry Minors in hits. Cade C, Kashton C, Jake F, Ben C, and Layton Y each drove in one run for Solid State Masonry Minors. Barney S paced Solid State Masonry Minors with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.

Burnham Bulldogs Triumph Over Milroy Minors

Burnham Bulldogs were victorious against Milroy Minors 9-4 on Wednesday.

Burnham Bulldogs jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Chantz W singled, scoring one run, Zach R doubled, scoring two runs, and Ryatt W singled, scoring one run.

A double by Daxton H extended the Burnham Bulldogs lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the second inning.

Chantz earned the win for Burnham Bulldogs. The pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out six and walking three. Joaquin R took the loss for Milroy Minors. The pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on six hits, striking out four and walking two. Axtyn W pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Burnham Bulldogs in relief. The right-handed pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking one.

Burnham Bulldogs tallied 10 hits in the game. Chantz and Zach each collected two hits for Burnham Bulldogs. Chantz led Burnham Bulldogs with two runs batted in. Karsyn made the most plays with six.

Joaquin set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Milroy Minors with two hits in three at bats. Kason G led Milroy Minors with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Kason stole three bases. Milroy Minors were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Karter G made the most plays with six.

Burnham Bulldogs Defeats Belleville Phillies In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the hill on Tuesday, but Burnham Bulldogs defeated Belleville Phillies 3-1. Chantz W started the game for Burnham Bulldogs and recorded six outs.

A single by Oliver W put Belleville Phillies on the board in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Burnham Bulldogs went back into the lead after Seiler L singled down the left field line, Max B singled down the left field line, and Myles H walked, each scoring one run.

Karsyn S earned the win for Burnham Bulldogs. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Layton G took the loss for Belleville Phillies. The starting pitcher went two innings, surrendering zero runs on two hits, striking out two and walking none. Chantz opened the game for Burnham Bulldogs. The starter gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking one. Axtyn W pitched one inning of no-run ball for Burnham Bulldogs in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking two.

Chantz and Max each collected two hits for Burnham Bulldogs. Seiler and Max each drove in one run for Burnham Bulldogs. Daxton H stole two bases.

Oliver led Belleville Phillies with one hit in three at bats. Belleville Phillies had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Deacon Y and Stetson B led the team with two bases on balls each. Belleville Phillies turned one double play in the game.
