Welcome Melissa Owens-McKinney as Editor of FLGA. Barbara Sessions and I are happy to have you to post for the organization. I have been taking care of my husband (who had a stroke) and could no longer do this. I welcome any questions you have, and I hope you make this site nice again. We did have a website, too, but I have let it lapse due to lack of information. Call me if I can give you any information. If I do not answer, please leave a message, as I am probably busy with Jim. ATTENTION FALCONHEAD LADIES:

According to FLGA President Eva Patrick, we have been invited by the FMGA to participate in a mixed tournament on February 23rd. This will be a scramble format probably with two men and one woman, depending on the number of entrants. Tee off at Noon - Shotgun Start. If the weather is too bad it will be rescheduled.

Following the tournament will be a social in front of, or in the Lounge. A meal will be served after the tournament. Tea or water will be available with the meal, but anything stronger you will need to purchase from the Lounge.

If you are not currently a member of the FLGA this will be a good opportunity to join. If you are a member and know of someone who might be a prospective member, please invite them to join in the tournament and social.

Sign up at the Pro Shop asap. They can give you the costs of the golf and social event. Please participate in one or both! Let's all make this a fun event.

FLGA annual Christmas Brunch to be held December 1, 2012, at 10 AM. Members of FMGA, FLGA and spouses are invited. Also invited are prospective members of both organizations.

This weekend is the Waco-Turner golf tournament. Lots of people are signed up already! The FLGA ladies will be selling Mulligans. Saturday night's dinner will include desserts made by the ladies, too. Good luck to all you golfers!

The Falconhead Golf Course Spruce Up tournament for men and women teams of 4 or 5 people in scramble format will be held August 4th. Sponsor a hole for $25 - $50 - $75 - $100 or $300 and get signs on the hole of your choice. We have 4 hole-in-one prizes sponsored by the Holland's - including $10k cash prize, TV, $500 Visa card, and golf equipment. Sign up at the Pro Shop. Make your own team, or we'll put you with others. I just sent out over 350 letters to everyone -- get those forms filled out and return them as soon as you can so signs can be made!!
