Great work this weekend by some of YMCA of the Highland Lakes members who competed in the Beast of the Brazos event in Waco! We are so proud of Sharon Shull, Denise Rhodes, Keitha Goodwin, and Kristi Allison for taking on the challenge and representing our YMCA family. 💪🏊‍♀️

💦 Soak Up the Fun & Celebrate Gretchen! 💙

After 20 years of service, we’re celebrating the retirement of one very special swim instructor—Gretchen O’Brien!

Gretchen began teaching swim lessons at this location in 2006, even before the building became part of the Y. Over the years, she has helped generations of children gain confidence in the water—and one of the sweetest parts of her story is seeing former students return years later with their own children to learn from Gretchen, too. 🥹💙

If you or your family have ever taken swim lessons with Gretchen, we’d love for you to join us as we celebrate her incredible impact, dedication, and many years of helping our community learn to swim.
