We have officially partnered with local bike fitting and physical therapy company, Crankworks PT! It’s hard to fully enjoy cycling if you don’t feel comfortable on the bike, but high quality bike fits can be expensive. Thanks to Crankworks PT, though, optimizing our experience on the bike just got a lot more affordable. Here’s to long days in the saddle 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

The University of Arkansas Cycling Club is excited to announce our new partnership with a new, local cycling-coaching company, Natural State Cadence, to bring affordable training and racing guidance to our collegiate cyclists.

Natural State Cadence (NSC) was founded by two UARK Cycling Club alumni, and this partnership aims to help make coaching more accessible to aspiring cyclists of all levels.

The sport of cycling is notorious for its high financial barriers of entry, and when you combine this with the absence of sport-based scholarships, which the more traditional collegiate sports have access to, collegiate cyclists are too often left with no choice but to hang up their helmets.

Cycling has a long ways to go as a sport in America, and we hope that this partnership will be able to provide a much needed draft for the young men and women who want to continue pursuing their love of cycling.

OORC (Ozark Off-Road Cyclists) have run into some trouble with their plans to expand the Buffalo Headwaters trail system. A while back, OORC submitted plans to expand this system into a designated recreational area, but the local Forest Service has recently rezoned this rec. area for logging (cutting and preparing timber). If you'd like to see the trail expanded, you can show your support for the project by following the information in the link below and/or by taking a look at the attached Facebook post. Community backing helps greatly in these matters!
