Our 2024 BHS Boys Basketball Fundraiser is officially open! This year we are using Football Sweeps to host an NFL Points Pool. Each ticket purchased will give you three (3) randomly assigned teams each week, beginning Week 9 of the NFL season and running through Week 18.

Each week there will be multiple opportunities to win (see below) based on the Total Points scored by your unique 3-team combination. Every Tuesday morning, Green Bee Fundraising will finalize scores, post the results and prize money will be sent to the winners.

Highest Point Total = $100.00
2nd Most Points = $50.00
3rd Most Points = $25.00
Lowest Point Total = $25.00

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased online, or in person from any BHS Boys Basketball team member. The process for online tickets is:

While not the way we wanted our season to end, we want to say THANK YOU to our Seniors. Collectively, your leadership throughout the ups and downs this season is a testament… not only to who you are as Grayhound basketball players, but more importantly, as young men. 🏀🐾

The Grayhounds wrapped up their regular season tonight at home with a 66-62 win over Oskaloosa. We will travel to Davenport West next Monday (2/19) for Round 1.

JV was victorious as well and wrap up their season with a 14-7 record. The Freshman team dropped their finale tonight.

Both the JV (69-41) and Varsity (60-51) squads pick up victories over Waterloo East this afternoon at Carl Johannsen Gymnasium.

All 3 teams will wrap up the regular season at home with Senior Night for our 8 Seniors, on Monday against Oskaloosa.

The JV won the 2nd game of the night tonight over Washington with a 64-35 victory and Varsity finished off the sweep of Washington, winning 59-37 in the finale.

We’ll be back in action tomorrow afternoon with a JV/Varsity doubleheader beginning at 2:00 when Waterloo East comes to Carl Johannsen Gymnasium.

The Freshmen pick up a 40-33 win over Washington in the 1st game of the night. JV will tip off in 15 minutes.

The Varsity boys finish off the night with a 75-60 win behind 22 points from Christos Kantzavelos.

We’ll be back at home tomorrow against Iowa City West in non-conference action with the first game tipping off at 12:00.

The Freshmen squad battled back in the 2nd half and cut the deficit to 2 before dropping the final by 11. Varsity will tip in about 30 minutes.

All 3 Grayhound teams are on the road tonight in Southeast Conference play at Fairfield. The game will be broadcast on the FCSD Livestream Channel on YouTube (link below) with Varisty scheduled to tip at 7:30.

*We’ll be back at home tomorrow afternoon when Iowa City West visits Carl Johannsen Gymnasium. Game times are scheduled at 12:00 (JV) and 1:30 (Varsity).
