Rockin 'E Ranch - YMCA Camp Ernst The ranch at YMCA Camp Ernst is equipped with a 28 stall barn, two riding arenas, a fluctuating herd of 30+ horses, and miles of trails.

All of our ranch programs are led by our CHA-trained team of knowledgeable and experienced wranglers.

Summer has flown by at the Ranch and now we’re getting ready for fall!

Our fall horsemanship lessons are open for registration!
We also have SEVEN ranch days coming up, with the first one on Saturday, August 29th! And a Junior Ranch Day on August 30th.

Get your kids in the saddle for learning, laughter, and confidence building!

We did a Friday Funday with our Wrangler Crew!
Water buffets offer mental stimulation, encourage hydration and allow our herd to choose botanicals that they prefer!

We brewed peppermint tea, ginger tea (and added water to both!) and provided fresh water.

Penny was a big fan of the ginger tea water.
Ernie had small sips of both.
Nugget also sipped them both.
Wally, our resident water bug, just loved playing and gave us a great flehmen response, which is a unique animal scenting behavior.

A super fun experiment for our wrangler crew!

It’s too hot to safely ride today, so ranch day campers are leaning into the care portion of horsemanship!

Nugget is showing them just how much she loves a freshly scrubbed trough and fresh water!
