This Saturday is our KHEIA annual awards meeting in Hutchinson, KS. We have created an online auction with items donated by others to raise money for our group.
Each year KHEIA (Kansas Hunter Education Instructor Association), offers $500 education scholarships and awards Top instructor sitewide and in four regions a nice gift! Meet Frida, the fancy turkey!

She is hosting her favorite game called “Pick a Tailfeather”!

Once a shot up old decoy, she has now risen from the ashes with a full glow up pink paint, fresh eyes, fabulous hair, and more glam than a country fair pageant on finals night. She is, without question, the diva of the auction.

Frida is literally handing out your odds of winning. She’s generous like that.

 How to play. The number on your card equals how many raffle tickets you get. Then you take those tickets and drop them into the pink prize bags of your choice because Frida believed in strategy chaos and letting fate decide whether you go home with glory or with nothing but glitter on your hands.

She’s dramatic. She’s dazzling. She’s a turkey who refuses to be ordinary. And she demands that you have fun. So if you have nothing better to do please join us this Saturday for the KHEIA annual banquet in Hutchinson , Kansas.

The Dam Liquor Store 

A shout out to Jeff and Vickie Foster, for their generous donation of $100 that will go towards our scholarships!

Jeff has always been an avid fisherman, you know the kind of guy who can talk tackle, weather and the one that got away like it’s an Olympic sport. And Vickie is right there with him and loving the outdoors, so it’s no surprise that they stepped up to support the next generation of Kansas Hunters and conservation minded youth.

Their donation goes straight to KHEIA scholarship program, helping students who value safe hunting practices, wildlife stewardship, and the outdoor traditions we all care about.

Thank you, Jeff and Vickie for your generosity and for always supporting our mission, folks like you keep Kansas outdoor heritage alive and thriving.

Horse Soldier Bourbon donated by Vaughn-Roth land brokers.

This one is special, folks. Vaughn-Roth land brokers came through again, and Cameron showed up with a bottle that has a backstory so good he couldn’t help sharing it. And if you know Cameron, you know he can turn anything into an adventure.

Horse soldier bourbon was created by retired US special forces veterans who rode on horseback into Afghanistan right after 911. Their bravery inspired the brand and their craftsmanship turned it into a legend.

But Cameron did not stop there!

He also donated $200 towards our scholarships, because apparently being our local storyteller wasn’t enough. He’s also a very generous person with a big heart and loves to support youth activities that involve hunting and fishing.

Bumper-to-Bumper

Big thank you to Jim Hill at Bumper-to-Bumper for his generous donation of $50 towards our KHEIA scholarships.

Jim isn’t just a supporter, he’s one of those people who quietly pours his time and heart into his community. He volunteers with the youth shooting programs helping kids learn safe and responsible skills and also is the voice you hear announcing our local high school basketball games.

Whether he’s behind the mic or behind the scenes, Jim shows up for the youth and every way that matters.

Jim we appreciate your donation, your time and your commitment to the next generation. Folks like you make a difference in our youth.
