We will soon offer a variety of gear and services through our website that you can visit but it’s still under construction. The Original Fisherman was created the day I was born. No really..Fishing has been a huge part of my life since I was very young. I started fishing Bass tournaments when I was about 17 and have been doing so ever since any way I can. Very often I was needing new gear like fishing poles, reels, lures, boat accessories, and so on. But as most good fisherman know the most expensive ( other than boats ) is replacing our rods and reels. I was tired of spending my hard earned Bass-Cash on a new reel every time something went wrong with one. I know everyone of you has done the flip and dip, where you flip your rod backward and dip it into the lake to get the reel cleared out, but For those of you that don't fish with a Zebco 33, I have a better solution. I’ve researched almost every type of fishing reel from bait casting to deep sea rigs and even fly fishing gear just so I could maintain and clean reels to make sure our favorite part of our arsenals are ready to catch the keeper of a lifetime. People ask me all the time why I don’t like ceramic “anything” on my reels.
This is why. Ceramic should only be on Rod Guides. It doesn’t mix well with plastic or metals.

Fortunately I can replace this with stainless steel.

Just a small rant. Don’t purchase a reel that puts fake “dials” on the handle nut. It doesn’t do anything at all and is just there to make the reel look cooler. Shame on Quantum for making nonsense on their reels that don’t do anything to sell a reel for more money. This is like the “vent” stickers you can buy for your car at Walmart. They do nothing!!
