Laying on the floor after a workout hits different these days.
Not because I destroyed myself. Not because I can’t function for the rest of the day. Not because my back is screaming, I’m starving, or I need a nap by 10 a.m.
I’m tired because I can feel what my body just did.
A good leg day should challenge you, not punish you.
Ten years ago, I thought every workout needed to leave me wrecked. If I wasn’t limping, sore for days, and completely exhausted, I didn’t think I’d worked hard enough.
Now I know better.
Results don’t come from beating your body down. They come from training it consistently, recovering well, and leaving enough in the tank to show up again tomorrow.
You can push yourself without destroying yourself.
And honestly? That’s where the real progress happens.
