Happy Birthday to one of the best men I know.

Some people have an extra gear when it comes to work ethic. I think Maz has an entirely separate extra engine. There are so few people that I personally know that spend more time thinking about how to make things better.

Whether it's our business, our team, or the people around him, he's constantly tinkering, adjusting, improving, and pushing forward. The guy never stops.

He's not big on birthdays or attention, which is probably one of the reasons I felt this one deserved a post.

Looking back now, it's hard to put into words everything that's happened since Halo started. There has been success, plenty of challenges, and more than a few moments that involved literal blood, sweat, and tears. Through it all, we've built something special together.

What I'm most grateful for isn't the business that's been built—it's the friendship that's come from it. Cheesy? Maybe. But 100% true.

I'm thankful and blessed to know a man of such character, loyalty, and relentless drive.

The things he does behind the scenes and never expects or wants credit for are one of the many things I respect the most.

Please join me in wishing this guy a very Happy Birthday. The spotlight isn't where he likes to be, but today he deserves it.

Happy Birthday, brother. I appreciate you more than you know.

Parents, coaches, referees, and sports families — please take a minute to read this.

One of our longtime Halo members and someone I genuinely trust and respect, Ben Glass, is once again doing something pretty incredible for young people in our community.

Each year, Ben awards $5,000 in scholarships, spread over two deadlines per year to a youth sports official (any sport) who is moving on to any type of post high school education (college, trade school, advanced skills programs, etc).

This isn't just about grades—it's about recognizing young people who have developed leadership, responsibility, confidence, communication skills, and the ability to make tough decisions under pressure. I know firsthand that Ben and his team are passionate about investing in the next generation. 📣 And there's just one week left!

If your child officiates youth sports—or if you know a young referee or umpire who does—this could be an amazing opportunity.

Handstands & Bar Muscle Ups: Building Strength and Skill Overhead 💪

This workshop breaks down the technique, strength, and body awareness behind handstands and bar muscle-ups. Led by Morgan Evans, this session combines high-level gymnastics experience with real CrossFit application to help athletes at all levels improve confidence and control in these movements.

Morgan started CrossFit in 2019 and has competed at the RX level, while continuing to train across functional strength, conditioning, Olympic lifting, and gymnastics. With a background as a former elite gymnast, USA National Team member, and NCAA collegiate athlete, she brings both technical knowledge and coaching experience from working with athletes and coaches across all levels.
