Calling 12u & 15u eligible softball players to join us this spring season!

We have a few roster spots available to make a second local team. Develop in new positions, focus on fundamentals, improve game IQ and have fun in your community athletics.

Beginner and experienced pitchers are encouraged to participate. Register today and our softball commissioner, Samantha Campbell, will reach out to answer any questions.

⚾️ DONATE YOUR GEAR, FUEL THE GAME! 🥎

Is your garage starting to look like a dugout? If your kids have outgrown their gear or traded the diamond for a different hobby, we’ll take it!

We are collecting used T-ball, Baseball, and Softball equipment to ensure every player has the chance to get in the game. Your "dusty" equipment could be a young athlete’s "new" favorite gear.

🚩 Our Biggest Needs:
• Softball Defensive Face Masks
• Cleats (All sizes)
• Bat Bags
• Uniform Pants (All sizes & colors)
• Uniform Belts (All sizes & colors)

Times: During practice times 6:00 - 9:00 PM

⚾️ Burgaw Diamond Youth: Spring Division Evaluations! 🥎

It’s time to hit the dirt! We are gearring up for a great season at Pender Memorial Park. Please check the schedule below to see when your player needs to report to the ballfield.

📅 Evaluation Schedule
All evaluations begin promptly at 6:30 PM. 🥎 Field 4 ⚾️ Field 1

• Monday, 02/16: 🥎 10u Angels
• Tuesday, 02/17: 🥎 8u Darlings & ⚾️ 12u Ozone
• Wednesday, 02/18: ⚾️ 10u Minors
• Thursday, 02/19: ⚾️ 8u Coach Pitch
🥎 12u Ponytails & 15u Belles: TBD as registration is still open for waitlist signups. We want to build these age divisions for more local teams.

📝 Note for T-Ball & 6U: Co-ed T-ball and 6U Coach Pitch do not have evaluations. Keep an eye out for a message next week regarding your mini-practice and teammate meet-and-greet!

🎒 What to Bring & Wear

Please ensure your player arrives in appropriate gameplay attire and has the following equipment:
• ✅ Glove
• ✅ Helmet
• ✅ Cleats
• ✅ Bat
• ✅ Facemask (Softball divisions only)

⏰ Arrival Info

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early. This gives your player enough time to check in and get their arm warmed up before we start at 6:30 PM.

The countdown is officially on! We have less than 2 weeks until registration closes for the Burgaw Diamond Youth spring season. Don't let your ballplayer miss out on the action this year!

🧢 Join the Team: We Need Coaches!
We are still looking for enthusiastic volunteer coaches for all divisions. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just love the game, we need your help to make this season a success for the kids.

🗓 Mandatory Coaches Meetings
If you're planning to coach, please note that you must attend one of the following sessions:

• Option 1: Sunday, Feb 8th; 4:00-5:00 PM
• Option 2: Sunday, Feb 22nd; 2:00-3:00 PM
• Location: Pender County Library in Burgaw
• Bring $25 cash for your required background check.

SATURDAY’S CLINIC SESSION IS CANCELED

Due to the unpredictable weather forecast approaching the area, we have made the decision to cancel tomorrow Winter Clinic session. The safety of our players is our highest priority as road conditions can change rapidly.

We hope you’ll register for our final session on Feb. 7th! Then we start gearing up for our SPRING SEASON.

The safety of our players and families is our top priority. We will make a final decision regarding Saturday's session by 3:00 PM this Friday.
