Snake Pond Hunting Club 5000 acre hunting club located 5 miles from Burgaw. We offer all big game hunting. Our facilities include a clubhouse, skinning shack, and gun range.

We are a 5000 Acre hunting club located 5 miles outside Burgaw. We offer all big game hunting at our club. All members have access to the property year round. We are primarily a hunting club that runs dogs, but we do allow still hunting. The tract of land consists of pine thickets, swamp bottoms and food plots. The club is very family oriented and makes all members feel at home.

Just a little recap of the 2020-21 hunting season. It’s safe to say that everyone had a great time this year but most importantly we all had a safe year. Gracie Wells killed her first dog hunting buck and Cooper Skinner killed his first turkey. That’s what it’s all about folks.

It’s definitely been a fun year so far and some good bucks have taken at the club recently. Braxton w/ a nice 9 and Stroghs bags this heavy 8 however Cooper Skinner tops them all with his 1st buck ever!! Way to go Cooper!! You’re already a better shot than your dad!

What a weekend! For the 5th year in a row Snake Pond was thrilled to have the opportunity to host a Turkey Hunt w/ a great group of veterans in partnership the Foundation for Execeptional Warriors. And the birds cooperated! In fact 2 Warriors bagged their very 1st bird! This couldn’t have happened without the support of our neighboring landowners and the Pender County Longbeards chapter of NWTF. We truly had an awesome time sharing in fellowship w/ this group. Thank you to John Sackett for organizing the hunters and to Lisa & Roy Cottle for a delicious meal. We look forward to the next one!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! The club is also gearing up for an opportunity to say “thank you” this weekend to a group of amazing veterans in partnership w/ the Foundation for Exceptional Warriors. We are truly looking forward to the fellowship in sharing a day of southern traditional deer hunting at Snake Pond . Hopefully the weather’s good cause the hounds are ready!

What a day at Snake Pond! We had an awesome time hosting a group of phenomenal veterans while enjoying fellowship and some turkey hunting yesterday. A big thank you to John Sackett w/ the Exceptional Warrior Foundation for organizing the hunt and to NWTF Pender County Longbeard for providing a delicious meal. The club guides worked hard throughout the day to get in front of the birds and were able to coax 3 good ones in close enough! An amazing experience that we were very grateful to be part of.
