Maintenance is something that you never have enough time for... until you are sitting on the side of the road hopefully with a large hard bottom shoulder and not in a construction zone waiting for a new tire, or an expensive mobile mechanic to come and fix or tow your rig! So; check your tire pressures before going, check the side walls for sign of dry rot since parking last fall, and give your engine an internal bath with sea foam occasionally. It is great for diesels, gas and boats. It cleans injectors carburetors and d cleans and lubricates internal parts. It also is a fuel stabilizer for storage of said vehicles. Available at B and K General Store with a bunch of other great stuff. And yes a manual tire pump sucks for trailers and vehicle tires... but it beats the alternative and requires only manual power; no electric. See you soon before your Labor day trip... Please do not wait until Monday, because we will not be laboring on labor day.

So; for all of you out there practicing standard farming procedures and just want to make your own home grown bread with no preservatives in your household bread machine.... We have what you need! Wheat!... and oats for oatmeal too. Eleven dollars for a bushel bag. Pretty hard to beat for quality and freshness this time of year. :-) šŸ¤£

Not only did we get birds in.... But we also had enough space to get in the Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. Love Bug Henhouse reserve. If you want to spoil your birds and get lots of delicious eggs... "We'll be your Huckleberry." or Breakfast Berry maybe.. maybe a Cackleberry... Bear with me as I work through this.. However; without any farther Ado; We have White Crested Black Polish (straight run), Cinnamon Queens (autosexing and an extreme layer), and a few Cream Legbars (also autosexing and blue egg layer) See you soon. Prices are posted on the tubs... Not on the internet... Kinda like reeses pieces (registered, trademarked etc) they melt in your mouth, not in your hand.

We are almost at that "Fall" Time of year. The sun is just cresting above the trees at 6:55 instead of 5:55 AM. The morning dew covers everything lightly. There is a full moon on the way in the next few days. Sunset is at 7:45 instead of at 9:00 PM. Possibly the last run of chickens for B and K General Store just went in the mail today for a Friday arrival. Green peanut season is upon us. The lovely geese are rehearsing their migratory formations in the sky. And "OBTW", (most of you know that acronym by now) A piece of history is going onto the list of $10 off per day until sold roster. More details below. Enjoy the "false Autumn" while it is here, but the real one isn't too far away.

If you happen to have a commercial device fishing license from B and K General Store; or anywhere else... We have a few shrimp traps left. It is about that time to be able to harvest great big shrimp from the sounds and tributaries. They have been doubling in size every few weeks since spring. We also have some standard cast nets if you do NOT have the commercial license. Check the legal limits, but I believe you are allowed 4 quarts per person per day in areas closed to commercial sh*****ng. So, that should be the safe measurement for anywhere.. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY! We do have the NC hunting/fishing books available for your interpretation before going out.
