2026 Halloween Classic - Presented by; Awesomatix USA Driver Confirmed: Kevin Nestor

The entries keep rolling in for the Halloween Classic at NORCAR RC Raceway, and our next driver is an iconic figure in the Ohio racing scene. Austintown Hobby and Raceway owner, Kevin Nestor!

When he isn’t ordering Traxxas trucks by the pallet, Kevin is out on the track proving he can wheel with the best of them. He brings some serious carpet pedigree to the grid, most notably locking down an impressive 5th place finish at the prestigious U.S. Indoor Champs. He’s always a threat to win, though we'll have to see if he can pull off a masterclass performance or if he just winds up getting punted into the boards while battling it out in the ultra-competitive 17.5 1/12th class.

But let’s be honest about the real reason Kevin loads up his pit bags for these big events: the local Applebee's menu. Rumor has it that the only reason he actually goes racing is the promise of late-night half-price appetizers. If there isn't a 2-for-$25 deal or a hot plate of fiesta lime chicken near the track, Kevin might just stay home.

He’s been recently spotted at NORCAR RC Raceway hunting down a podium finish, but he’s definitely tracking a late-night dinner run immediately after the mains.

Watch your back out on the carpet, because the boss is officially locked in and hungry!

Driver Confirmed: Josh Cyrul

On top of racing with the elite, Josh has been keeping incredibly busy off the track. He recently launched Cerberus Racing, a family-owned RC company. He’s already making waves in the pits with fresh engineering drops like the Vektor F1 chassis and the Mohawk 1:12 racing body, proving he’s still pushing the limits of the sport as both a builder and a racer.

Watch your lap-times on the black carpet, because a multi-time National Champ and the mastermind behind Cerberus Racing is officially locked in!

2026 Halloween Classic - Presented by; Awesomatix USA next driver confirmed: Charles Mackin

Hide your apexes and guard your appetite,
the carpet racing legend himself is officially locked in for the upcoming Halloween Classic at NORCAR RC Raceway!

Rumor has it Chuck has been hitting the track since before this race even had an inception date. As one of the literal "founding fathers" of indoor carpet racing in the region, he's an absolute multi-class fixture who knows how to lay down a mean hot lap.

But let’s be honest: if there’s one thing Chuck loves more than tearing up the high-traction black carpet, it’s low-and-slow barbecue. He’ll be hunting down lap times and bringing the flavor to the pits with a bottle of his famous, homemade “Chuck’s Luv Sauce.”

And yes, if you hang out in the pits long enough, he will absolutely tell you all about that legendary time he cracked the elusive A-Main at the absolute biggest race of them all, The U.S. Indoor Champs. Considering he's attended almost every single one since the event's birth, he's earned every single bit of those bragging rights.

Give it up for the local favorite and the undisputed pit-master, Chuck Mackin!

Another confirmed racer spotlight; Robert Dirla!

With nearly four decades of competitive carpet racing expertise under his belt, veteran RC racer and race director Robert Dirla remains a cornerstone of the indoor on-road scene.

Known for his long tenure at Thunder RC Raceway, his work directing major events at Apex RC, and a signature H-Main win at the 2012 IFMAR 1/12th Scale Worlds, Robert continues to campaign at the highest level with his CRC and XRAY chassis.

He is already geared up to bring that classic veteran pace to Burbank, Ohio for this year's highly anticipated Halloween Classic at NORCAR. In fact, he proved his reflexes are as sharp as ever by perfectly timing the opening buzzer to secure the ultimate "TQ" spot—officially locking in as the very first racer to sign up the second registration went live!

In less than a week we will be gathering for the 2026 Halloween Classic - Presented by; Awesomatix USA!

We will be joined by racing icons from all over the country, including the famous Shawn Rayfield!
