Here in my home town, safe ,quiet , Palm Coast Florida. Danger can come knocking at any time with no warning. Will you be ready?
A Florida mom just lived through every parent’s nightmare…
In Palm Coast, deputies say a man with a long criminal history showed up at a mother’s home uninvited, forced his way in after lifting the garage, banged on her windows, and then confronted her and her two children in the foyer while making threats and demanding money. She repeatedly told him to leave and warned him she was armed, but he kept advancing toward her and her kids. When he reportedly said he did not care if she shot him and continued coming, she fired a single round, hitting him in the arm and stopping the threat and getting him to flee.
Deputies later found him at a nearby hospital, treated his non‑life‑threatening wound, and arrested him for burglary with assault, noting his “extensive” rap sheet including grand theft, drugs, and robbery with a firearm. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has been clear: this mother acted lawfully under Florida’s Stand Your Ground law and did what she had to do to protect herself and her two children in her own home. Her kids were unharmed. She did not go looking for trouble. Trouble forced its way through her front door, and she met it with a prepared mindset, a firearm, and the courage to fight back when talking and warnings failed.
Gun‑control activists love to sneer that “you don’t need a gun at home” and that calling 911 is enough. But when a violent, known criminal is already inside your house, between your children and the exit, the real first responder is you. This Palm Coast mom, who said it was her first time even firing the gun, is living proof that an armed citizen is not a fantasy; she is the reason her kids get to sleep in their own beds tonight, instead of becoming another tragic headline.
