After all the rain the last few weeks, Robertson Millpond water level is back up and we are able to start kayak trips again!! 🥳

We have seriously missed being out at this beautiful preserve over the last 6ish weeks and can’t wait to get people back out on the water!

After the river flooded this past weekend, we unfortunately had to cancel and reschedule trips while we waited for conditions to improve. Safety will always be our top priority, and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding.

The photo is a great example of just how much water we received. Normally, you can see several large, flat rocks in this spot, and there's about a 4–5 foot slope down to the river's edge. During last weekend's weather, the river rose high enough to completely cover those rocks and reach the top of the bank.

The good news? The water has dropped back down to a safe level, and thankfully it didn't make its way into many of our campsites.

Tubing and kayak trips are back on for this upcoming weekend!

We are so thankful for the rain we've received over the last couple of weeks! It's been refreshing to see the Tar River returning back to a more normal level and, even better, to welcome everyone back out on the water.

Unfortunately, we're still unable to operate at Robertson Millpond Preserve as water levels remain too low. We're continuing to monitor conditions and hope to be back there as soon as Mother Nature cooperates.

Kayaking and tubing are available here in Bunn!

With the chance of typical afternoon summer storms, we recommend reserving one of our earlier time slots to make the most of your day on the river.
A friendly reminder: We operate by reservation only. If you arrive without a booking, we may not have the availability or equipment prepared for your group. Reserving ahead helps us make sure everything is ready for you when you arrive!
