Look at what a couple of minutes makes in the light in these pictures. These are the same deer, same day, in the prior pictures, but only a couple of minutes difference. Nature is truely beautiful.....the bucks aren't bad either.

It is time to go through the trail camera photos from August. We seem to spend hours on the task, because we become fascinated looking at the natural pictures. It is hard to choose a few to share with our friends.

The photos we post may be flawed, off-center, and not works of art because we do not edit or touch them up. They are not works of art, but they sure are works of nature, which is even better.

These are two of my favorite photos because of the sunlight. These bucks are still in velvet and one is not gigantic at all, but the natural beauty of the deer are still there. Hope you like them too.

The Captain (Hank, of course) is working hard mowing the trails for our hunters. He is also working during August planting fall turnips and other wildlife happy food plots to keep our deer healthy and happy on our land.

The summer is a great time to catch pictures of bucks running together. In the fall, they will have nothing to do with each other as they compete for the attention of the does.

Food plots make a difference in the nutrition and health of the deer. Some trail cameras have caught favorite places for the deer to gather and feed. The successful food plots have made this place a favorite.

The summer trail cameras get pictures of bucks in velvet. All shapes and sizes of early racks get in the pictures. As well as all ages of deer. The pictures are captured at various locations throughout the Whitetail Trophy Tracts land. Here are a few of the bucks in velvet.

Deer are curious animals. The trail cameras are camo-covered, but the often notice them and come up to see what they are. This year our July pictures showed some unusual photos of their curiosity. You get a lot of pictures with eyes, noses, and upclose shots of the deer checking out the camera. A couple of the pictures I am posting are examples of this kind of picture. Look at the others, tho', they are unique pictures of up close and personal headshots of deer in velvet.

Hello to hunters and wildlife enthusiasts.... Of course, we can't forget family and friends. I finally have downloaded some of the
summer pictures from the trail cameras. I was out of commission with surgery for a while, but I promise to get back to work on Whitetail Trophy Tracts. I will be posting pictures starting with July. There are some cool pictures.
