TDHA was established as a means to connect those who share the love for wingshooting and have a common interest in preserving the sport through conservation efforts. TDHA encourages adults to introduce youth to hunting, safety and proper game management. The preservation of the sport of hunting lies within our youth and upcoming generations of hunters of all game wildlife.

The inaugural DOVE WORKSHOP is in the books and was a successful day of dove education. Thank you to the 50+ attendees for spending the day with us, and to the contributors and speakers: Katzfey Ranches, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Live Oak County - Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, BASF Agricultural Solutions, and Texas Game Wardens.

Participants gained valuable knowledge on dove ecology, population trends, tracking methods, hunting laws and regulations, and species identification.

The day also included visits to Katzfey Ranches’ dove food plots, where attendees learned about successful planting practices using sesame, sunflower, and sorghum row crops, along with proper chemical applications and timing to support healthy dove habitat.

Fall 2026 issue loading …. 😎

This year marks 12 years of Texas Dove Hunters Magazine! Thank you to all the people who have let us share their stories over the years, and to the people behind the scenes who make it happen — writers, designers, photographers, printing, ads, there are a lot of moving parts. The magazine will always be an integral part of TDHA and something we truly enjoy putting together and sharing with our members and dove hunters across the state.

And if you want to see your hunting photos in a magazine, shoot us them via email or DM. [email protected]
