Super Awesome time tonight on family night. We moved from the dojo to the park since it is like 127 inside right now. Love this group of humans (and dog) Kids class Sundays at 7. Adults Thursday at 7pm.

Getting into the ring means that you will inevitably get hit. If you can't take a punch or are not ready to take a punch, then don't get into the ring. You can't step into a ring, get knocked out, and then get upset at the person who knocked you out. You should be upset at yourself for not being prepared for the battle. It's easy to sit on the sidelines and criticize. It's easy to say what you would have done in this or that situation. And it's easy to blame someone else for your failures. That seems to be the way of the world right now. Don't like something.....criticize and demean.

But what's not easy is deciding that you DONT have all the answers, but that you are gonna work your ass off to learn. Then putting in the effort to do so. And then after all the blood sweat and tears of struggle, you get into the ring. Then...you may still get hit, you may still get knocked out....but you will do so prepared for it. It will be your battle win or lose.

That's how you know the real warriors from the sideline coaches.

PS. This applies to all aspects of life, not just combat sports.😁😁

After much consideration and deliberation, I have decided to cancel formal classes indefinitely. My other businesses are keeping me tied pretty tight and I do not feel comfortable taking payments for classes that I will either inevitably have to cancel or hurriedly put a lesson plan together. It is not fair to the students.

I will continue to have classes in more of a "club like" setting. I will continue to operate the Facebook site and Legacy Combat Academy group and update when and where classes will be held. I will not be charging for these with the exception of hosted seminars. There may be fees associated with those.

I appreciate all the students and hope to continue to interact with you all.

I'm having a special Jiu Jitsu training session at my home dojo this Saturday. I'm looking for 2 volunteers. Let me know of you are interested. The session will be drilling specific techniques as well as working our cardio through some rolls. Some jiu jitsu or wrestling experience is preferred.

Regular JKD amd MMA classes start back up Monday. I look forward to seeing everyone.
