Welcome to the page dedicated to my annual "Diamonds in the Rough" Golf/Poker outing. This event started in 2014 with only 15 golfers but each year has grown, with last year settling in at 42 golfers and 22 poker players. I handed out OVER $2000 in cash and prizes in 2016! The outing consists of 18 holes of golf during the day followed by a Texas Hold'm poker tournament. The event includes dinner,

on-course contests (i.e. closest to the pin, longest drive, etc), cash raffles, prize raffles, and cash payouts for the top golf teams. What could be more fun than enjoying a nice golf outing during the day and following that up with some good old fashioned cards at night! Only enjoy golf and happen to be the world's worst gambler? No problem! There is an option to just play in the golf tournament. Can't swing a club to save your life but love to gamble your hard earned dollars way? There is an option to just play in the hold'm tournament. On this page you will see several pictures from our previous events as well as updates on dates for future events. This event is entirely self funded by the players that participate and all the money goes into some part of the event. So the more people we have play, the more raffle prizes that can be awarded and the higher the cash payouts for the winning team(s). I wanted to send out a note out to let you all know that there will not be a Diamonds in the Rough golf outing this year. Unfortunately, I just have too many commitments right now that will not afford me the opportunity to pull of what would have been my 6th year hosting this event.

I want to thank all of you that have made this event so fun and worth the effort over the past 5 years. What started out as just 15 or so golfers in year one expanded every year, with last year settling in with 52 golfers. Thanks for coming out each year.

Special thanks to Rob (and his team) from Boone Creek for always providing an awesome experience for my events. And a big thank you to my wife and friends (you know who you are) who always stepped up to help me make this happen. This was definitely not a one-man show.

Not saying this is forever, so hopefully I'll be able to fire this back up at some point in the future. But for now, stay out of those sand traps and always remember to tip the beer cart girl!!!👍

My 5th annual Diamonds in the Rough Golf & Poker Outing is right around the corner (August 25)!! We already have 52 golfers and 21 playing cards!! Total cash and prizes is approaching $2500!!
