Oh! Taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed are those who trust in Him. Psalm 34:8
After years of family betrayal, bitter disappointments and loss, I held on to trust in the Lord. He left “breadcrumbs”, that I couldn’t see at the time were actually diamonds, emeralds, pearls, amethysts all along the golden path to deeper faith and love for Him and my fellow Earthlings. I put those breadcrumbs in the pocket of my heart and discovered that as I pulled them out to feast on them when I was hungry that as I consumed them, they not only filled me up, but nourished me in a way that made me healthy and stronger to wage the next battle. Soon, the battles were fewer because my enemy knew that his battle was not with me. And I knew it. I knew that the Lord fought my battles as I prayed. “The weapons of our warfare are not of this Earth. They are mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.” 2 Cor 10:4. Everything I lost is being restored. Not all at once like winning the lottery. But, nevertheless, restoration is happening and I am so blessed. Everyday another miracle. Everyday another opportunity to share my faith.
…for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! Psalm 95:7
