WELCOME BACK LOPES!
We’re excited to be back, and look forward to an amazing season this year!
If you’re interested in joining our team, stop by our table at club fair Wednesday night from 5pm-8pm in the CAC!
We will also be hosting an interest meeting September 13th from 5:30pm-6:30pm in room 42-213! This is a great way to learn more about our club and get information on how to join, practice times and race schedule!

What an amazing weekend and beautiful course at nationals to finish out this season!
Congratulations to these athletes for racing so well in the Olympic race and coming back the next day and having incredible performances in the mixed team relay with a top 10 finish! Thank you to for putting on an amazing event. Thank you to our amazing coach for pushing this team so hard all season, encouraging us, and working so hard in your time and commitment to the team.

In case you missed takeover Tuesday:
Meet Shoshanah Stukas! Shoshanah is a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering. She is from Colorado and started doing triathlon for the team this fall. Her favorite leg of triathlon is the swim in practice and the bike in the race.
In her free time, she loves to be outside, paint, read and eat good food!
One fun fact about her is she’s a tea lover! (Twice a day for sure). Her favorite team memory is going to nekter after practice!

In case you missed last to take over Tuesday…

Meet Stephan! He’s a freshman majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-physical therapy. He’s from Flower Mound Texas and has been competing in triathlons for 9 years!

His favorite leg of the race is the run, and in his free time when he’s not training, he likes to play guitar and make music, listen to music, eat food and sleep while dreaming about eating food. A fun fact about Stephan is that his favorite animal is the albino gorilla (RIP Snowflake 😔) . His favorite memory from the team is going to San Diego and being with the team on the beach and with our races!

If you missed takeover Tuesday last week…

This is Derik! He’s a senior majoring in accounting with an emphasis in public accounting and a minor in psychology. He’s from Harrison, Montana.

He’s been doing triathlons for 3 years with the team, and his favorite leg of the race is the bike! His favorite memories with the team are the pre-race dinners at San Diego and Havasu!

In his free time, Derik loves hiking, backpacking, golfing, watching movies and playing board games with friends!
