New Jersey’s top 16U AAA program is also tied for #1 in the country.

Nine programs ranked in New Jersey. Here’s the podium:

🥇 North Jersey Avalanche — A

The state’s only A, and T-1 of 111 programs nationally. 33 alumni in NCAA DI — second-most of any 16U AAA program in the country — plus 134 active alumni across 31 leagues and 35 USHL draft picks in five years. Lane Hutson, Alex Laferriere and Brett Pesce all came through here.

🥈 Rockets HC (Premier) — B+

The junior pipeline. 23 USHL draft picks in five years and a 67.4% win rate, 8th of 112 nationally. ★ 5.0 from 1 verified review.

🥉 Rockets HC (Elite) — B

Same club, second team, bigger alumni pool — 107 tracked across 26 leagues with 13 now in NCAA DI. Ross Colton and Kyle MacLean both made the NHL from here.

Every THR grade is built the same way: where a program’s alumni actually end up, five seasons of on-ice results, and anonymous reviews from the players and families who lived it. No narratives, no reputation carryover.

alexios__19 never played for a team as tight knit as the the Wisconsin Windigo

After being named captain of the Windigo his age out season, he was an integral part of the team’s success throughout the regular season and into the playoffs.

Although they came short of the Robertson Cup, he truly experienced what it was like to play for a championship team.

There are 2 types of development approaches to hockey🏒

You can either play somewhere where you’ll get a ton of ice time and reps or you can play somewhere where you’re challenged by the best of the best and forced to rise to their level.

The 1st approach is the safe option but the 2nd is the more risky one that could carry more upside if you’re able to rise to the occasion.

alexios__19 chose to take the risk and challenge himself playing in the BCHL at 17 years old.

He was able to overcome the challenges of being a young rookie and eventually make consistent contributions to the team’s success.
