We have done a lot of learning in the last 20-something years in running the Twisters. I’m sure many don’t know the story behind what we started… as we wind down the last final years of the Twisters, we want to make sure the legacy we leave behind was a good one. We are committed to all of our girls, coaches and families. Our goal has always been to prove that the under-dogs can be just as good. We pride ourselves in creating a club that values sportsmanship and family values, and giving some a chance that maybe others didn’t and not breaking the bank to play. However, the type of players we want to have on our teams are the ones who love the game - that knows that being a great player means putting in work behind the scenes, communicating struggles and asking for help, and the desire to want to succeed. But with that comes being humble as well. We don’t learn and grow if we never fail. Our goal is to win* but Losing is a part of life and learning to deal with loss with grace, is a lifeskill. So in these final years, we hope that the families that join us or continue to stay with us- understand our vision and want to walk beside us.

PSA: tryout information

*We are NOT holding public tryouts this year. We are solely leaning on keeping the current teams together as much as possible. In the event we need to fill a few positions, we will post what we are looking to fill and will do smaller, private tryouts. This will be coordinated with an owner and one of our coaches. Please feel free to reach out if you or your daughter would like to inquire about a possible open position.
