Hello friends!

Fight Family: Submission Circuit Tournament UPDATE

For the past ten years we have done THE BUFFALO CLASSIC in May and then added the BUFFALO OPEN in the fall, usually in September. We are super grateful for every person who has ever helped, volunteered, competed, refereed, or helped make the tournaments a success. We are also very proud of the iconic memories the tournament has made, and has shown a great light on all the amazing jiu jitsu practitioners and athletes in our greater area, and the city of Buffalo itself!

While no decision has been made final yet, we are considering passing the torch of the tournament to someone else. If anyone is interested in continuing the tournament series please reach out. Running a tournament requires a dedication and a time commitment that we would love to see continued if we do decide to pass it on. So we will not pass it on to just anyone, it has to be the right person or group of people, who love both the art of jiu jitsu and the city of Buffalo as much as we do.

That said, if we do decide to continue this year, we will have a decision in a few weeks and keep everyone in the loop. And if we do continue we will be looking for ways to increase local support, turnout, and outcomes for everyone involved.

We appreciate everyone, and look forward to seeing what the next phase of competition jiu jitsu in Buffalo holds for everyone.

This is the final competition list. You have until tonight (Wednesday 9/25) at 11:59pm to change your division if it is wrong or if you want to go up a weight class. Kids divisions will only be merged with parental consent on the day of the event. If you do not get a match you will be refunded.
