Last weekend a few of our members took a trip to Cresson PA and the Altoona area.

It was a great weekend for railfanning!! These pictures are just a glimpse... 3 Heritage units, the new Cascades Amtrak cars, lots of cars from older rail lines.. Horseshoe Curve, Gallitzen tunnels, Cassandra overlook, Juniata shops, Railroaders Museum... and more..

We highly recommend The Station Inn great place to watch trains right from their front porch!!

We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer!!!

September is here and you know what that means... . The start of the train show season for our area!!

1st up is the Hemlock Train Show... September 19 &20

Followed by St. Mary's of the Lake on September 26.

October starts off with the Greater Rochester Train Show on October 4th at the Rochester Dome.

And on October 11th, stop by the Polish Falcons in Depew for the Falling Leaves Train Show..

Our club will be represented at several of these shows, so be sure to stop by and say Hi

The summer is a slower time in the world of Model Trains.. so its the perfect opportunity for our Annual Club Picnic!! 🚂
Saturday, The Model Railroad Club of Buffalo held their 13th Annual Picnic at the Westfield Railfan Park for their members... A great time was had by all!

We enjoyed watching trains (though we would have liked to see a few more than we did. Traffic was light) telling train stories, and a fun game of 🚂Train Bingo 🚂designed by Joe!

And if you went home hungry, it was your own fault! Fred and Joe were grilling Rockstars! Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Italian Sausage and a plethora of sides filled our plates!

We were also joined by members of the Gowanda & Buffalo Model Railroad Club and Genesee Society of Model Engineers ... So glad everyone was able to join in the fun! 😊

Thank you also goes out to Wayne B. for all you do to make our time at the Westfield Railfan Park a good one.. moving picnic tables, coordinating for the port-a-potty and groundskeeping... We truly appreciate all you do!

Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 from 12pm-5pm both days...
This event is one weekend only...

Come check out our HO and O scale operating layouts encompassing 3 classrooms in the Town Boys and Girls Club of Tonawanda..

This is a family friendly event with a photo booth area, goodie bags and coloring sheets for the kids... There is also a new scavenger hunt with fun things to find on our layouts!

Buffalo Central T-Trak will be set up with his N scale modules as well. (do to unforseen circumstances he was not able to make it January)

The club will have a table of various hobby related items for sale.
RIP Track Custom will have T-shirts and mugs for sale and House of Chocolate / Today's Special will have cookies available for purchase.
