🥤Nutrition Monday

Before you buy a sports drink, check what you already have at home.

For practices lasting over an hour at moderate to high intensity, especially in hot weather, this simple homemade electrolyte drink can help replace fluids and sodium:

💧 350 mL water
🍎 150 mL 100% apple juice
🍯 10 g honey
🧂 0.5 g salt

For most practices, water is still the best choice. Save this recipe for those longer, more demanding training days.

Prepare fresh and, if kept at room temperature, consume within 4 hours.

💙💛 One chapter closes. Another begins.

We celebrated Chelsie’s graduation, her 18th birthday, and the beginning of an exciting new journey as she starts studying Nutrition at UIUC.

Congratulations to Duru Kavzan! 🎉

Duru had an outstanding performance in two major competitions held in Türkiye.

🥉 This weekend, she earned the Bronze Medal in the U14 Women’s Sabre event at the Türkiye National Championship.

🏅 She also finished 6th at the Balestra Cup International Tournament last month, earning a Top 8 finish.

We couldn’t be prouder of Duru’s consistency, determination, and hard work. Congratulations, Duru! Keep shining! ⚔️💙

We’re proud to welcome Coach Hülya Balcı to the US Sabre Academy family.

Before joining our team, Coach Hülya played a key role in developing many successful young sabre fencers in Türkiye. At last weekend’s Turkish National Championships, five of her former athletes earned national medals — a reflection of years of dedication, knowledge, and consistent coaching.

We’re excited to bring that same experience, commitment, and athlete-centered approach to our academy.
