As one of the oldest independent soccer clubs in the US, Chicago Fire honored Schwaben AC with a special halftime recognition for our 💯 year anniversary. Our players also had the amazing experience of being the player escorts and ball kids along with pre-match field access. We had a great time celebrating 100 years with 300 Schwaben members doing our favorite thing, watch soccer! A huge thank you to Chicago Fire for hosting us and all the players, friends, and family that joined. Congratulations to the Fire on their win over the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Go Schwaben! 💙Go Chicago Fire! ❤️Chicago Fire

DOC Thomas and Youth Director Alicia represented Schwaben at the German Unity Day celebration at the Chicago Cultural Center. The celebration was dedicated to the 36th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the friendship between Germany and the United States. Consul General Michael Ahrens spoke about the strong German roots throughout the Midwest and how unity is a continual process. The Secretary of State of Indiana, Diego Morales, was also in attendance and presented the consul general with the first of its kind honorary Secretary of State.

It was a fun night of celebration and meeting members of the German community.
