Another new tax for fi****ms owners. Illinois Democrats have introduced a new law that would require you to buy government-approved insurance just to apply for, or renew, a FOID Card.

HB43 creates a JB Pritzker appointed task force to study whether or not Pritzker should mandate that law abiding Illinois fi****ms owners have insurance as a condition of applying for a FOID Card.

The bill is sponsored by Democrats Rep. Bob Morgan, Laura Faver Dias and Yolonda Morris.

Of course, this ‘study committee’ will say yes, which is exactly what Democrats are looking for.

This bill has nothing to do with public safety, it’s about increased paperwork, and of course, the chance to generate more revenue for the state of Illinois through fees from insurance, much of which would be sent to the state of Illinois.

Criminals won’t buy insurance.
Criminals don’t apply for FOIDs.
Criminals won’t follow any of this.
