Saddle-fitting shouldn't be stressful.
Here are three simple things to keep in mind heading into your next saddle-fitting appointment.
1. How your horse has been going in their current saddle? Have you noticed any slipping or excessive movement of your saddle during work?
2. How has your horse's fitness and body condition changed since their last fitting? Has their top-line musculature become more defined? These factors directly affect saddle fit, and are valuable pieces of information to share with your fitter.
3. What's new since your last fitting? Has your horse recently started exhibiting new responses or behaviors on the ground, while being groomed and tacked up? Keep note of this, as it could be connected to the overall fit of your saddle.
Use this to help make your next saddle-fitting a breeze!
