Well, we missed the because we're working on some improvements to the steering of this old . We had some nasty bumpsteer problems at the (and some seriously broken parts) so we're making some changes to the hydraulic system as well as a bit of geometry mods. Our race plans are a bit up in the air but we're hoping to make it out this sunmer to the and certainly the this fall. Fitting this whole thing in between life and careers ain't easy but... we persist. ⁣

The amount of time and effort that goes into completing a Baja 1000 (or 1227 this year) is hard to describe. Without the army of volunteers that surround us we couldn't pursue this dream. There are many missing from this pic who helped make this possible so thanks to all who contributed in any way they could before, during, and after the race. Our official finish result is 41 hours and 48 minutes, 9th overall in Class 10 out of 23 starters. We set out with the goal of finishing this race and getting to know this car. We accomplished that and are looking forward 2022 and the chance to build on this success. Muchos Gracias mi Amigos!

This guy had a small buzz box stashed in the back of his garage and brought us to his house to do some hasty repairs. We're in a race to make the race cutoffs but keep pressing on. ⁣

Frikkin' lasers man! Our local alignment shop offered to check the car on their rack for us and get some accurate measurements on all our suspension geometry. We made a few touch ups to caster, camber, and toe to get everything dialed in and she's ready to rip across the lake beds. One more week and we're off to the , time to start packing!⁣

While in last week we made a stop at to check out some of the hardware. Lots of really sweet builds were underway and Adam was kind to give us a full shop tour. We finished up with looking at Ecotec motors, we may need to get one of these bad boys on order for the new hot rod.⁣
