Well my first USA Archery National tournament was a learning experience. I placed 5 at 142nd USA Archery Target Nationals 🇺🇸 in my age group. Day one was windy, I stayed with my Altra 246 and quickly realized to complete in this game I needed skinny arrows. So, I went to the house and made up a dozen of the Altra  Phantom .166 with the Q2i fusion x11 SL for the second day. A phone assistant Mike Hulburt Sr. and got them flying true. I will say the Phantom Altra Arrows is as good as it gets!! Sighted them in this morning on the practice ends and off to the races. (Should have been shooting them on day one)🤦🏼‍♂️. Did this as a great opportunity to learn and be better prepared for these next year.
Now on to my first US Open Saturday. Again it was hot and windy (blowing you over windy, well the skinny ones that is and frying eggs on the sidewalk 🤪). First scoring end of the first match was 2X 10. Was a nice start. Won that match then on to the final 16 won that match. Then on to the final 8. Yep to my surprise got the win there too. Next thing I know I am shooting in the gold medal match against Ken Brunko. Ken is a first class man and was a great match. I made one mental mistake and that’s all it takes at this level to not finish in the top spot. I got the Silver and Ken got Gold. All I can say is I have finally found the better part of archery. 3D is fun but this is what archery was founded on and a true measure of an archer’s ability and skill. I will definitely be shooting more of this style of archery. I can not think all my sponsors enough for all their support!!

Well, the maiden voyage for the new Elite Varos went well today at the USA Archery event in Missouri I was able to learn a few things about this side of the sport, take away a few things with the new bow and had a great time.

Well I shoot an 900 tournament today. Only the second time I have ever played this game. I really enjoyed the day and had a blast for W!

Well the 2025 ASA season is in the books. Finished well and glad to be shooting with the best equipment in the industry. Also, glad to be shootingwith a great group of shooters! Congratulations to Tim on shooter of the year and the win Randy on 2nd and Kevin for 3 podium spot.
