To our Mt Vernon Outdoors family,
This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write.
After a lot of prayer, conversations, and careful consideration, Josh and I have made the difficult decision to close the Mt Vernon Outdoors location.
Mt Vernon Outdoors has always been more than just a store. It’s where our journey began, where friendships were made, and where so many memories were created. The support, encouragement, and kindness you all have shown us over the years is something we will never forget.
After everything we have been through, especially rebuilding after the fire, we gave this location our very best. We tried, we worked hard, and we hoped it would become the place we envisioned. While this decision is incredibly difficult emotionally, we know it is the right decision for our family and for the future of our businesses.
This is not goodbye.
We will be moving our inventory and continuing to serve our fishing community at Steele Creek Bait & Tackle. We are excited to put our full focus and energy into growing Steele Creek and continuing to provide the bait, tackle, and service you’ve come to expect from us.
We want to thank every single person who has supported Mt Vernon Outdoors. Whether you stopped in for bait, grabbed a biscuit, bought tackle, shared a post, or simply encouraged us along the way—please know how much that meant to us.
Sometimes God closes one door because He has something else planned ahead. We may not know exactly what that plan looks like yet, but we trust Him and we are excited for the next chapter.
