The Academy of Ballet was established in 1985 in Enumclaw WA by Sandra and Glen Hasstedt. In 2016 the Academy transitioned to Buckley WA and Bethany Payne took over as the Artistic Director/Owner. The Academy holds two outstanding performances a year, a winter show and our annual end of the year performance in June. Our dance seasons start in September and ends in June with the summer months off f

DANCE CAMP DAY 3!!! PHOTOSHOOT DAY!! And the last day of camp 😭. We had the best time with all 65 of you dancers!! We cannot wait for our BEST season yet 42!!!! T minus 3 weeks!!

Our 2026–2027 Competition Teams are officially here! 🧡💙💜🩷

I am beyond excited for this season and so proud of every dancer who came out and auditioned.

This year’s auditions were by far our biggest yet, and the amount of talent in the room made these decisions incredibly difficult.

Congratulations to everyone who made a team! I can’t wait to get started and see what this season has in store.

We have so many exciting things planned, and I truly believe this is going to be our best season yet.

AOB takes on Showstopper Dance Competition nationals!!! Our first ever nationals and we’re coming back from Cali with a 3rd overall trophy!! Teen trio placing 3rd overall, Senior trio placing 4th overall, senior small group placing 4th overall, Senior large group placing 5th overall and Teen Small group placing 11th overall. On our off days we got to spend time at Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farms. We had a blast in CA and I’m SO proud of what we have accomplished as a small town studio from Buckley WA. What an end to our second season of comp!! We’re so excited for what next season has in store for us!! 🤭
