For individuals interested in assisting with the removal of bottles and foam from Stonecoal Lake, complimentary trash bags are available in the Stonecoal Fishing Club mailbox. Alternatively, participants are welcome to provide their own. A dumpster has been placed at the Upshur County end of the lake and will remain accessible until next Friday for the disposal of collected waste. Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Please be advised that the Stonecoal Lake cleanup scheduled for Saturday, August 8th, has been canceled. We extend our gratitude to the West Virginia DNR and DEP for their commitment to removing debris from the lake. A new date for cleaning one of our beautiful lakes will be scheduled in the future. We appreciate everyone who expressed interest in participating.

Due to the catastrophic flooding in Upshur and Lewis County, the West Virginia DNR is requesting volunteers for a cleanup effort at Stonecoal Lake on August 8th. Access to the site will be exclusively by boat launching from the Lewis County ramp off Georgetown Road as the road on the Upshur County side is currently impassable and closed. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any inquiries.

Congratulations to Bo Hollen and Hunter Rohr on their finish at the TBF High School National Championship and World Finals at Cumberland Lake in Kentucky. They finished 135th out of 237 in the National Championship and made it to semi final Friday for the World Finals but couldnt get them in the boat.
