Busy weekend for Flame 304 Basketball! Lots of good things happening! Our 7th grade team finished 3rd, and our high school team went 3-1, only losing in the championship! I'm very proud of all these girls, the work they've put in, and the family they're creating. Many coaches and players tend to focus on mistakes, which leads to two problems. Players often play scared, fearing they might be taken out of the game, and they can become emotional, distracting them from their performance. However, focusing on the past doesn’t help; the sooner you forget it and concentrate on the next play, the better you will perform as a player and teammate we instill in our Flame 304 Basketball girls—adopt a next play mentality. Positivity builds confidence; confidence leads to success.
