My Turn Sports League had a night game! So much, so much energy, so much awesome.

Magical.

It’s difficult to imagine describing Friday night’s My Turn game any other way. There is something special about playing under the lights with your friends. The surrounding areas to the field buzzing with conversation and laughter. The explosions of cheers after every hit. The sounds of the PA announcer calling out the next batter and seeing them swelled with pride as they enter the batter’s box. Seeing every kid on that field having fun, smiling, and competing. Watching determination, grit, and tenacity in every aspect of the game. These kids had a BLAST!

Haralson County, we want to say thank you! Thank you for showing up and showing out. Thank you for cheering on all our My Turn athletes as they were given a shot at THEIR turn under the lights. These type events are not possible without community support and trust me when we say this: WE FEEL IT!

It has been humbling to see everyone come out and cheer our kids on in full support. The Haralson County Recreation Department was ROCKING on Friday night! Our game under the lights is not one we soon will forget.

Inclusion and Community matter. We are blessed to be surrounded by both.

Exciting weekend for My Turn coming up!!

Friday night, April 17, we will be playing under the lights at the Haralson County Rec Dept! We hope you will join us to cheer on these outstanding athletes ⚾️💫 Players please arrive early to pick up your jersey!

And while you are here- enjoy free BBQ sandwiches and hotdogs that have been so graciously provided by Cameron Worthy and Worthy Landscaping - thank you for helping make our game extra special! It is greatly appreciated!!

And join us again the next morning at 10 AM for the official ground breaking ceremony for our very own adaptive field!! This has been years in the making and we are finally breaking ground- and would love for anyone who has donated financial, given your time, provided anything for us in any capacity, to come be a part of this with us! If you have a current or past My Turn player, let them wear their jersey and come take pictures during our ceremony- this is such a big moment for us and we are excited to share it with you! See you there!!

We are beyond excited to invite our My Turn Sports League family and the entire community to the groundbreaking of our brand-new adaptive ball field! This dream has been years in the making, and it will serve some pretty incredible children and adults in our community. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION-PLEASE SHARE**

We have been getting a lot of questions regarding our Spring My Turn baseball game! We want to take a minute to let our new friends & followers, along with parents who are interested in signing their children up, know what we do and who we serve in our community!

My Turn Sports is a sports league being integrated into the Haralson County Recreation Department, who serves children with many types of disabilities that are not able to play on a traditional recreation team. When you come cheer on our team or sign your child up to play- you will see some of our star athletes using wheelchairs, walkers, some needing assistance batting and running the bases- creating a space where they are ALL able to excel in the game of baseball and have fun doing so!

Our game will be held under the lights on APRIL 17th at 7:30pm at the Haralson Co. Recreation Dept located in Buchanan, GA. The deadline for sign ups is on APRIL 3rd. Please make sure you sign up so we can get jerseys ordered. Also, if you have played with us before and have been given a helmet, glove, etc. please make sure to bring it to the game. If you need assistance with these items we will have some on hand so everyone has access to equipment.

We hope this has answered some of the questions and we hope to have a big turn out- It’s going to be a great game and we hope the community will come join us and support our children! If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to ask! ⚾️✨
