This is a group for all friends & other interested people to ask me about going fishing or hunting in the Brazos Valley Area or other areas of South, Central, or Western Texas and even a couple of the mountain states. I have a lot of experience fishing & hunting all over TX from Amarillo to Houston to South Padre to Del Rio!! I'm just getting started with guiding; but for those of you that know me
well, you know that i would take just about anybody fishing, hunting, boating, bowfishing, or shooting any time it's convenient. Also, going to offer some dog training/kenneling if enough people are interested in it. I have expertise in fishing for Largemouth, Smallmouth & Spotted, Striped, White & Hybrid Bass, Blue, Yellow, and Channel Catfish, Walleye, Rainbow, Brown, Brook & Cutthroat Trout, and various species of sunfish. I have or do fish the following freshwater lakes: Alan Henry, Lake Amistad, Bastrop, Belton, Brady, Brownwood, Bryan, Canyon, Choke Canyon, Coleman, Conroe, Fayette, Georgetown, Gibbons Creek, Granger, Hords Creek, Livingston, Medina, Meredith, Limestone, OH Ivie, Inks, Raven, Somerville, Stillhouse, Whitney & White River. Also quite experienced with the following rivers: Upper/Mid Brazos, Upper/Mid Colorado, Concho, Devils, Frio, Upper/Mid Guadalupe, Llano, Medina, Upper/Mid Nueces, Paluxy, Pecos, Sabinal, Rio Grande West, & Mid Trinity. If you really want to catch a lot of decent fish, a good river trip is hard to beat. Coastal fishing: i'm experienced fishing for Redfish, Speckled & Sand Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black drum, Jack Crevalle, Snapper, Whiting, Kingfish, and the occasional shark. The areas i fish are CC bay, PortO'Connor & Matagorda, Baffin, East Bay/Bolivar, Port Arthur/Beaumont and Freeport/ Galveston & Port Mansfield, South Padre, Laguna Madre, Big Shell, PINS, & some near shore gas wells... BUT i'm also interested in learning more about SW Louisiana areas as well. I have a great saltwater flats boat to go explore around with, so if you would like to try one of those areas, just ask. I also have access to a few areas within an hour drive or so from College Station for wild hog hunting. I have guided for bowfishing on Lake Somerville, Yegua Creek, and Trinity River Systems. Duck hunting is also available from Oct-January. Usually hunt out of the boat as a blind and have 2 good Labrador retrievers ready to go fetch. I really don't have any kind of fee schedule, but just asking that you or your friends help out with gas and/or refreshments, and if you feel like it, any tips are appreciated... even bad ones. Any fishing/hunting trip that we might schedule will be highly customizable, so costs can vary significantly.
*Half or full day trips are available to lakes or river destinations within 1.5 hour drive of College Station: Gibbons, Bryan, Somerville, Fayette, Bastrop, Belton, Raven, Conroe, Mid Brazos or Mid Trinity Rivers*
I have a 20' Hewes flats boat that will fish 2-4 people comfortably in fresh or saltwater. You can message me or email me @ [email protected] or call me directly at 979-229-9626.
