Miramont Executive Pastry Chef Chera Marco has created a chocolate masterpiece that is now on display in the Miramont Lobby throughout the Christmas season. In 2017, Chera first met Reveille IX when the “First Lady of Texas A&M” attended Miramont’s Ultimate Tailgate. Chera was struck by Reveille’s flowing, golden-brown hair and white-tuft neckline. She was also impressed by how many people of all ages were drawn to Reveille, the highest-ranking member of the Corps of Cadets.

As Chera learned more about the tradition of Reveille, she decided to take on the challenge of producing a life-sized chocolate model of the beloved canine. This past summer, Reveille and her handler, Mia Miller, visited Miramont again, as Chera took precise measurements of Reveille IX.

In producing the life-sized model, Chera used 11 pounds of Rice Krispie Cereal and marshmallows to serve as the base of the dog. She then used four pounds of dark modeling chocolate, followed by 10 pounds of gum paste and six pounds white modeling chocolate for Reveille’s hair.

Rest assured, this is the sweetest tribute to Reveille you will ever see.

Attention Texas A&M University and Blinn College students: At Miramont Country Club in Bryan, we are always interested in speaking to bright and ambitious students who are seeking part-time work as wait staff, golf attendants and housekeeping staff while going to school in Bryan-College Station. Here's what one of our wait staff team members, Ashley Watson, said about working at Miramont:

The Cadet is coming soon!

Miramont Country Club will host the 2nd annual Cadet Golf Tournament on April 30th benefiting Folds of Honor scholarships for kids of military personal who have been disabled or who's parents lost their lives while serving our country along with the financial assistance program at Allen Academy.
