TAMU Aikido No experience needed. Our dojo and club is managed by the student body. All affiliation are through Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo Japan.

TAMU Aikido is a student-based organization at Texas A&M University dedicated to providing the TAMU student body and the Bryan-College Station community the opportunity to learn and practice the martial art of Aikido year-round. kido. The lead technical instructor is Mutsumi Uehara Sensei who is under instruction of Takao Hattori Shihan (Shunyoukai Aikikai Aikido) in Japan. The primary program directing & regulating is under the guidance of Manabu Masuda Shihan (Aikido Masuda Dojo) a direct Lineage of Aikido Kobayashi Dojo. Our classes are two hours in duration and take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning at 7:45PM. Classes are held at Montoya's Shorin Kempo Karate, in Bryan, located at:

Easy directions: from campus, take South College north. Just after Villa Maria, you'll see Rountree on your left. The dojo is on your right, just as Rountree curves to the right. Your first week of Aikido lessons is free. No need to pay upfront and there are no contracts. Membership fees are greatly discounted for the quality of instruction provided, with fees at an especially low rate for TAMU students, postdocs and research or teaching assistants.
